Swap Question To start with great post on great work!
thinking of doing a 5.3 swap in my 1984 c/10
but what i havent seen is anyone useing a manual 4 speed on the swaps
is there a reason no one is doing this?

84 c10 with manual tranny hello jokersbowtie & ls1tech fam. to comment on ur swap, that shouldn't be to hard. if u have all the hardware such as correct bell housing, clutch parts, correct adapter plate w/ flex plate & linkage, etc, it should go smoothly as using a t56. i would try to find some info from keisler. im sure they have done this b4. i like the 4 speed munchie, but a 5 speed would be better(imho). once you speak the professionals, jump in and get ur hands dirty. sometimes we spend more time on the forums than on the job. youll find that it is not as hard as it looks. common sense with good tech info does wonders. good luck and start that build thread with pics. i luv a good build thread. p.s. a tech member called jomomma may have a few answers.
