will my stock gauges work with the LS1?
Speedometer - No, unless you convert the trans to have a mechanical speedo output, or you buy an adapter that takes the electric output and converts it to drive a mechanical speedo.
Tach - No. The tach output from the computer operates on a lower voltage and frequency than yours. It requires a 4 cylinder tach.
Oil Pressure - Yes. On your engine there is a small plate just above the oil filter. On the corvettes this was used for oil temp and on the F-bodies this was just a blocking plate. You can take the camaro one and drill and tap it for 1/8" pipe thread and run a sensing line to your oil pressure.
Fuel gauge - Yes. As long as you are still using the 82 vette tank and sender.
Water temp - Yes and No. You can buy a sending unit from autometer for their electric water temp. (Don't know the part #) Place it in the passenger's head right near the aft plug. There is a little plug there now that is 12x1.5 threads. You can buy an adapter or drill and tap the plug to 1/8 pipe to make your own adapter. The water temp will be a little off, but it will track and show trends which is what you really care about.
Voltmeter - Yes. I have an ammeter in mine and it did not work correctly, but a voltmeter is a voltmeter.
Clock - Probably not. It is a corvette.
hope this helps.

Will my Autometer 3" column mounted tach work?
Will my Autometer 3" column mounted tach work?
My clock has never worked either. In fact, the only gauges I have working are fuel, water temp and oil pressure. I am saving up for a complete set of autometer phantoms, but I also want to wait until I redo the interior. I really don't want to rip my dash apart more than once. And I can live, temporarily, without the others. I guess I coiuld just use the rev-limiter as a tach.
As far as your autometer tach, as long as you can select 4-cylinder on the back it should work. This link tells you how to make it work.LS1 Autometer Tach.
