Default oil pressure sensor adapter

I was putting my Speed Hut gauges in my LQ9 this weekend, and the oil pressure sensor is a different thread size. Does anyone know where I can get an adaptor? Hopefully a longer one, because the new one is huge & will not fit. The water temp is also a different thread size, and I need an adaptor for that too. My car is at my Dad's garage 30 minutes away. I will try to get some pics of them tonight.
Thanks,
Brandon

Jeggs and similar speed shops have them on line. A local speed shop got me an adapter in a day for less than $10. I think it was made by Autometer.

The thread is 16mm as I recall, and the adapter changes it to 1/8 pipe thread.

If your not using the OEM gauge/sender.. take it, break the top plastic off, take the bottom alum part, drill and tap to the thread size of your Speed Hut sender.

cost? = priceless

I have used this on my chevelle.. as long as you have room your ok. if your sender is large. and space is tight. could be a issue. but at lease you go options.

Also you can use the bypass plate above the oil filter, if it is not be used for an oil cooler. The F-Body ones are good cause they have a cast boss to drill and tap.

I use both. one for pressure gauge and the other for my fav !... the "Idiot Light" LOL ! I just used the oem for the body/gauge in one of the locations.

That's what I did for my Autometer oil pressure gauge. Works great.

Here you go. For $7 you get oil and water temp adapters without having to destroy a $50 oil pressure sensor.

I ordered the coolant temp sensor: #2277 @7pm & Fed-ex was at my door @ 2pm the next day. Delivered in less than 24 hours, and I got a free hat. Excellent service! My Dad got an oil pressure sensor adaptor at a local parts store. I have not seen it yet.

You will also need a shorter sensor:

I just tapped a hole for an autometer electric sender on the hotside of the water pump, where the hot coolant goes out to the heater core. Easy enough.

One thing I have started doing it running a remote manifold for my oil pressure sending units/gauges

I use a braded -3 line to connect the engine to the remote manifold with the warning light, gauge and fuel pump shut off.

1 line hook up to the engine with the Autometer addaper the manifold is hidden on the fire wall somewhere.

Does anyone know what this link originally was directed towards? I'm fumbling thru my first experience with a LQ9 and want to hook up a oil temp, oil pressure and water temp autometer gauges. I already have the gauges, need to get sending units and figure out where to slap them in at.
