427ci LS1 project Help Please!
427ci LS1 project Help Please! I am planning on building a 427 w/ MID sleeves. I've read a lot of different stuff on the threads in here and people are always saying stuff like, "it's all what you want for your setup", and streetable is a "relative" term... I do want streetable, meaning I want my car to ride nice, but tear up the street when I punch it!
I already have a good header and exhaust setup from GMMG. I want a decently aggressive cam with heads to match. A noticeable lope, but not extremely aggressive where it sounds like it'll stall at any given moment. I'm thinkin in the ballpark of 8-8.5:1 DCR. Should I be looking at pistons for the LS7 for this job? I want a final bore size of 4.125 and with a stroke of 4.0 that will give me the 427 I want, but how do I determine which pistons and all to get? I want to be in the 600+ range in HP and torque N/A. I know I'll need a better fuel pump and injectors but how big should I go on the injectors? I'm thinking FAST LSX Manifold with the 92MM TB. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I don't need the highest quality stuff I just want some experienced opinions, maybe some that have a similar setup, on what would be best for me. Thanks in advance for your input!

I'm doing something very similiar. I have a sleeved ls1 and bought a 4" eagle crank with 24x reluctor and eagle 6.125 rods and wiseco 4.125 bore pistons with I think a 32cc dish(if I remember correctly). Then I was planning on putting on ls7 heads and intake with hopefully a turbo setup and still have a nice streetable driver with good mileage and power. 
Why do you want your compression so low? 8-8.5?? I haven't calculated mine yet but with the 32cc dish pistons I think its still pushin close to 9:1
