Where to get computer programmed? Hi,
My dad and I have recently completed the physical conversions on both of our Jeeps. We have 2004 and 2005 Wrangler Unlimiteds, and we dropped in 2008 and 2009 low mileage Gen IV LY6s with 4L60E trannies (actually my tranny is on the way and hopefully will be installed in the next couple of weeks)...
Both have factory computers for the engine and tranny. And my dad's Jeep is having issues with shift points (basically shifts all the way up to 4th gear almost immediately) and not wanting to take gas (even if you manually shift it doesn't really want to take more than about 1/3 to 1/2 throttle without hesitating and lurching)... His tranny also comes out of gear occasionally when either manually shifting or just in high gear (say you shift from 2nd to 3rd physically, but the tranny does not engage and just acts like it's in neutral until you shift to neutral or park and then back into gear).
Does anyone have recommendations for someone in the central Texas area that can program the engine and/or tranny computers for a Gen IV? Or, if not in this area any recommendations on good, trustworthy sources we could send the computers to?
