I bought this as a project. It was already back halfed with a 2wd chassis, I just completed it. Trans. is a 4L65E with a Ford 9" and ladder bars.

Like has been said - I'm sorta sad to see it's not AWD anymore...BUT overall that's one kick *** truck.

Plus 9000 cool points for the Boom Tubes.

It kinda makes me sad too with no AWD but if I get the urge...here's the other one at an autox event, still turbo V6 and AWD. I bought this one brand new in 1991.

VERY nice collection you have there.

You should mess with people, though. Race someone with the V6 AWD truck...get beat...go get the V8 RWD truck and use the quote from the 9/91 C&D "...in a blink, the Ferrari is looking at tailgate."

Would probably need to do that the other way. The V6 truck is much faster right now.

It has the average Syclone upgrades. Bottom end was built in 1997, has had new heads and cam recently with a 74mm Precision Turbo and Alky Control. Drag Radials on all 4 and lots of tuning. Solid low 11 sec. truck.

Tell me more about the air to water intercooler...how is that on the street? Or is it a "burst-use" type of vehicle (auto-x then cooldown, drag then cooldown, etc...)

Both are great man!

With the use of methanol injection, the air to water does fine. The only thing that needs a cool down is the brakes after a couple laps on the Autox.
