Default LS6 in 79 Trans Am question

I am getting ready to drop in a LS6 into my 79 Trans Am and I am planning on replacing my factory gauges with autometer gauges. How can I hook the water temp gauge and still have the water temp readings sent to the PCM? This is my first swap and my first dealings with this type of motor. All advice will be appreciated. Thanks for your help in advance.

Thanks I wasn't sure if there was another place to hook a sending unit or not like the old motors. I don't want to unseal my motor until I have to so nothing can get in it. This has been very helpful.
