5.3 in a 63 falcon Putting a 5.3 in a 63 falcon with a heidts mustang II and a turbo 400 trans. Obvious problem I'm running into is finding headers. Anybody have any ideas. Trying to not spend a bunch or make my own but who knows. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Brian.

Front suspension mounting points are very similar to early Novas on a falcon.
I would look at LS1 header options for Novas with aftermarket clips and you'll probably find something that works. Talk to TCI, Heidt's, and Church Boys racing.

How much clearance did you end up with at the shock towers? How did you modify the trans crossmember. And vare you keeping efi or doing carb swap?
I have a 65 Comet that I've been thinking of doing the same swap in. And please post some pics when you get a chance. Thanks

Here is something similar, it is a 5.3 with the 6.0 Engine cover. We met at Hot August Nights in Reno in 2008. He is a forum member but I don't recall his name. Car really ran great.
