the ac never worked on this car. when we started diagnosing it, it needed an evaporator, condensor, compressor, drier, etc. it's more of a cruiser/racer, so it made sense to spend the money on an ac delete box, then the rest on go-fast goodies.

What did you guys do for wiring? I have an 88 that I'd love to do this to. I've talked to Hawks about a wiring harness, but damn that's a lot of loot.

Hey Matt! Glad to see your keeping third gens alive! I remember YEARS AGO reading all your MW66Nova topics on Iroczone.com when you were still whipping people with your 305s!

Do you know the part number on the pan you used? I am almost ready to drop my engine in a 91 RS and wonder what worked for you

correct me if I am wrong... just notch the stock K or use the spohn adapter stands (or both). Or use the 1" set back transdapt mounts (this will move the trans back 1" too so your shifter hole may be off). some ppl dont notch or setback, it works but there is not extra room for any movement. If you hit a bump the K member may damage the pan.

I have not seen a pan that enough clearance for comfort. I would use a notch no matter what pan I had.

just curious, did you drop that engine through the top? Or is this a bottom install?

we FINALLY got the car to run and drive. i need to finalize the tune and get a bunch of stuff turned off in the PCM still, but it fired up! i also ran it around the block to make sure the trans works, and it looks like our $100 4l60e is operational, lol! we let it run long enough to get the air bubbles out of the cooling system, and got the fans turned on when they're supposed to be. i'm so happy i could flip, and this isn't even my car (probably happy cause my bro won't be bothering me near as much now, lol)

vid. its surging some cause the MAF is a dud

I know it has to feel good to get it running. The car is looking great. I can't imagine what it'll be like to drive my car when I get the LS1 in. http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/sr...gr_burnout.gif
