Here is something you may find interesting: http://www.projectawdcamaro.com/

Thanks for posting the link to your facebook pictures, but I couldn't find any pictures of the frame notching or the stands you made for the frame. Did you raise the engine at all to make room for the compressor?

Thank you for the added pictures. For some reason they don't automatically display so I have to click on every one of them. Looks decent. Do you still have enough room to get to the LCA bolt after plating that in? I can see you've gained a lot of room behind the compressor making the motor mount the way you did. Nice job on the radiator tube; I'd like to do something similar. What material did you use for that?

Yeah the plate is about a half an inch above the LCA bolt, from the front you can still see the hole, well atleast 3/4 of the hole.

For the radiator hose i just used 2, 1 1/2" U-bends and cut them as needed. They were 9.00 each U-bend from a local Speed shop.

anytime after 6pm you can come check it out, i try to only work on it dusk or dawn lol.

Things left to do.
1. Get exhaust connected to headers
2. Use 16GA sheet to make Gauge panel insert. And Wire it up
3. Install radiator, hoses.
4. Wire up Relay's for Elec fans and Fuel pump.
5. Install Oil Catch can from RX
6. Make final version of my CAI.

I would like to mount a 4" intake duct mounting plate behind the drivers side headlight and cut the hole behind the headlight to match the mounting plate. Then when i take the car to the track i can remove the headlight and it would be a proper ram air. i would also use the internal air filter for this version.

Inline Air Filter p/n: 880100 Spectre. Flows 575CFM

That is a very interesting filter idea, although it seems like the filter area would be small and potentially restrictive. 575cfm isn't a lot. Would you run two of these in parallel?

i was originally going to go with dual 4" CAI one behind each headlight, and i dont want my battery in my trunk i need to stick with just the single. after doing research on CFM on here, the 575CFM is near the limit of what i need. Im wanting to spray at the track eventually so i might have to remove this filter when spraying, but i should still be ok, the Cool thing about this filter is that you dont see it. it really cleans up the engine bay.

This Filter fits inside the 4" CAI tube, Ive only seen one guy local that is using this filter, he is using it on a Jeep with a 5.3. He loves it but he needs less CFM than i do. I will look again for the formula to calculate the needed CFM. and Post the results

According to this Formula i only Need 506CFM to run my 6.0 to 6000RPMs. but if i was turbo it would double.

Using the 2.5CFM/hp rule of thumb, you would need about 1,000cfm for 400hp. I have read anywhere from 2 to 2.5 cfm per hp.

I took the factory cluster out of the bezel so i can make my own Autometer Gauge panel.

I cut a piece of 16Ga sheet metal 17"X7", then lined up the top holes where the factory cluster and drilled the sheet.

I also trimmed the plastic under the stock cluster where the dummy lights were. that way i can have the room for the 5" gauges.

Not sure why people would pay so much for new panels when i will only have 2 hours total into this and cost me zero dollars, i got the sheet metal from AZ Kustom Koncepts, a local Fab shop. He had tons of scrap pieces and just gave me one.

It wont be perfect but for the money i think its worth it. Plus i might bring this to that fab shop when im done and see if he can make it a little nicer by blending some of the areas in better to the Bezel, and maybe we can start selling these.

I will post some pics of it tomorrow.

Well today was spent dropping the Trans and installing the Hughes Crank LS1 spacer.

Tapped it into the crank and bolted the transmission back up. I feel better knowing its done correctly before i start it.

You can see the light rust ring around the hub on the TC. that is how deep it went into the crank without the spacer.
