Which ac compressor did you end up using? Is is the same as the one I'm trying to use here? https://ls1tech.com/forums/15861886-post259.html

If so, did you keep the lower rear mounting bolt on the compressor? Have you adapted the ports yet and if so can you post some pictures of your AC lines?

Your photos have been very helpful for me. I still can't believe you did that cutting adn welding with the engine in place.

It does look like the same compressor too. But with mine i did have to grind down some of the compressor bracket on the bottom as to not hit the frame. also had to grind down some of the washer head on the bolt, mine is that close.

Thank you, I really appreciate the pictures! That appears to be the same family of compressor. It looks like you have a bit more room than I thought for the fittings. That's a nice surprise. Did you cut into the LCA perch at all to get clearance for that back lower bolt? I think I will also have to trim the lower portion of the bracket.

Very much appreciate your pictures. They got me thinking in other directions for the Nova.

Nope i didnt cut into the LCA Purch at all. But that is what is closest to the bottom of the AC Comp Bracket though, Thats why i had to grind off some of the bracket. to give some space. which i might need to pull it out and do more, if got an odd vibration under accel/Power lolol.

So its been a long time coming, But the AWD is still in the collecting parts phase of that upgrade.

BUT ive collected most of the parts for my turbo system.

Parts i have so far are
Borg & Warner S475 T-6 Turbo
Waste Gate
BOV
Up and Forward Turbo headers with V-bands on them.
I just ordered the T-6 flange and A-A Intercooler today.

No i need to work on the fuel system.

Well the car obviously hasnt went AWD. I lacked the cash to complete that task. It does have a Built Ford 9", Built 4l80E.

I was able to take the car to Roadkill Ziptie Drags and LS Fest West. Even Winning 13.0 class in true street all motor. I had an Aeromotive stealth pump die on me as I pulled into the parking lot of LS Fest. Had to overnight a replacement from Summit. Luckily UPS showed up at the Hotel 9am and I was at the driver meeting by 11am with it fixed.

It has been mid 11s on Nitrous, But its down yet again to try and turbo it. I started with up and forward headers coupled with a GT45. I just didnt like how that went together so I sold it and ordered an S475 with the Trick Performance Log manifold. Should be fun. Already running into issues trying to get a driver side manifold to work.

Ill have to go take some photos of the Hitch going in. It was done while I was building this turbo setup and the Fbum at the same time.

At LS Fest West 2018

Under the dash of the GTO swap. I have since moved the header hoses to AN lines with a bulkhead

dude you've been busy! I hope you'll be out at the Nov 10 meetup... it's out your way. Mine's back on the ground, so I'll be driving the pants off her.

I take it you guys know eachother?

That is awesome seeing all that modern harware in the dash. Would love to see what it looks like wrapped up. I always find it fascinating to see body and interior retrofits in these cars - no easy task I'm sure!

I will make sure NOT to have it on jack stands for LS Fest again. And I'm going to take it on a few extended trips -- tortilla flat, wickenburg -- before declaring it an actual touring car.
