will the ls1 alternator fit the 5.3 bracket? I got an ls1 harness and a 5.3 motor . the ls1 has the 1 wire pigtail and the 5.3 has a 3 wire pigtail. How can i rewire the truck alternator to fit the 1 wire ls1 harness or will a 1 wire ls1 alternator fit the truck bracket. thanks for your help/
Yes the one wire from the LS1 harness will work with the truck alternator. Just get a truck alternator pigtail. Replace the brown wire on the truck alternator pigtail with the red generator wire from the LS1 harness. Get rid of the other wires on the truck generator pigtail and you will be good to go.
