2000 corvette 6 speed fitment I know the vette tranny is attached to a torque tube but can you put a tailshaft on this to convert it to a regular t56,gonna be putting it in a 68 camaro

Look at pic of each. The 'vette trans is in the back of the car. It has a bellhousing to attach to the torque tube which connects to the transaxle assembly.
The inside parts are the same but as Jermery states below you cannot cost effectively convert one to the other.
You can buy adapters to eliminate the torque tube and use a conventional drive shaft.

You can convert a C5 corvette into an F-body "style" T56. You will need a front plate, tail housing, main shaft, shifter block and shifter shaft assembly. It isn't very cost effective but the C5 transmission has a double/triple blocking ring setup where as the F-body only has a single/double ring setup. The double/triple will shift a good bit better.
