Default A little wiring advice please

What would you do with this wiring?

This bulkhead is just right of center next to my A/C box,

I have decided to clean out this bulkhead and pull the wires under the dash. I will wind them up in case I need any of them later. And delete the rest when I redo my interior. It has a hard epoxy like crap in it where the wires pass through it.
What did you do to get that crud out of there and what did you replace it with?
I have a ECM and wiring from a 99 Z28.
I am also rethinking my ECM placement if there is enough room under the dash I may route it inside instead of the stock location over the battery.
I also hear the LS1 ECM runs hot. Would it be hotter under the hood on under the dash?
Do you think this bulkhead is big enough to accommodate the left over wires plus the LS1 ECM?

Here is a picture of my old set up you can see the the stock ECM tray above the battery. (right bottom corner of picture)

Holy Crap ! Batman !

Can't really tell you, i take it is a C4 Vette to start with. But without knowing the overall picture and what is what. it is hard do say what you can do.. more pictures might help.

i would not worry about the heat.. they are designed to handle that.

are you intergrading the LS1 with your C4 harness (Body/dash) ? i'd start with removing any wire that can be..

Yes it is a C4
I already cut it all out, the short wires are the ones I cut out. Those will be rolled up and left inside the dash. Once I'm sure I don't need them at all I will follow them and pull the pin from the connectors. All the wires that are routed to the left are going back inside and will splice into the new harness if I decide to put it under the dash and I'm leaning that way provided it will reach. If it wont reach without splicing I will keep it under the hood.
I guess I was asking an opinion on the heat issue and what the hell to get that crap out of the bulkhead with. Then what to use to reseal the bulkhead so it doesn't leak.
