5.3 throttle body question

5.3 throttle body question I am dropping a 5.3 crate motor into a CJ7 and the motor didn't come with a throttle body. I would like to purchase a drive by cable throttle body but I'm not sure where to go to find out what part number would fit the truck intake. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ohhh ... another crazier question! I am pretty sure the drive by cable throttle body will require a TPS and IAC but not sure. I am close to heading to my local dealer but these guys always start off every conversation with "what's your VIN number....without this we cannot help you.

There are two popular aftermarket brands . . . FAST and Nick Williams. Vendors who advertise on this site can assist you with these. You can also search the "For Sale" section of this site. I believe the current 5.3 truck engine uses an 89mm or 90mm throttle body. Measure the inside diameter of the intake manifold before ordering.
