Estimated cost of build?? Going to try and sell my z28 and build a 6.0 coupe of the fall/winter. I already have a 89 ex 4cylinder coupe roller. and got a lead on a LQ9 for $700. so the totals $1100. I know ill need the AJE kmember ($800 with coilover and a-arms), going carb so an intake and carb, headers, TH350, rear upr suspension probably, wheels tires and hood, and MSD ignition box, any other important parts?? Kinda like to keep the build under $6500 possilble?? Also probably pick up a set of 243 heads and custom cam kit.
Possible, maybe. Likely, uhhhh no. You're probably gonna have more than $1500 in just the cam/head swap (factor in gaskets, good hardware, probably an oil pump, upgraded springs.....). I'd be really impressed if you get it all done for $6500. Think of it as a challenge, I bet you can't do it.
It adds up quick, then at the end, it'll nickel & dime you for a little more.
