Default Fuel lines?

What fuel lines are everyone using dual or single? They say dual's are better for performance with a return line. What do you guys think.

Are you asking about running the return line from a regulator all the way back to the tank? I'm using a Aeromotive pump and regulator and I plan on only doing the fuel system once, so I will be running a return from the regulator in the engine compartment back to the tank. Probably a -8/10 feed and -6/8 return. I should never have to worry about upgrading again. But again my LS1 will be far from stock and that should be a consideration also. I don't think hp will change either way. I'm still researching as I have been told that it might be possible to have vapor lock issues as the fuel gets cycled through the pump, rails, regulator and back to the tank when using larger pumps and lines.

Yeah, that's what I was talking about, but also the fuel rails on the engine,I think the 97-98 use two rails. They say this is better for performance,or can I run a single line like the factory uses on later model LS1's.

They say it is better because the fuel has time to cool down with a full length return line. Cool intake charge is better. If you are trying to squeez every last bit of HP then by all means run a full return line. Personally, I teed off back near the tank and used my 2000 LS1's stock fuel rail. Easier all around for me.

But, this is the ONLY performance gain that you are getting for this and I would bet it is good for less than 1 HP. But, for some every bit counts.

If GMMG can get away with the stock fuel system on the 2002 ZL1 427ci Camaros pushing 600hp, I figured a stock version would work for my 500hp engine. I'm using the '99 Vette fuel filter/regulator unit with one line to the engine. I'm confident that it'll work just fine for me. Its a show car not a drag strip monster.

I'll keep it simple and use the single line that comes with my engine, one less thing I'll have to buy. Thanks
