Default Fuel Line connector question

I'm changing my setup from an inline pump to an in tank pump. Is there a way to attach the factory quick connect line (female) to a 5/16 female threaded?
I could change the 5/16 connector easy enough.
Thoughts?

I myself would change to a threaded fitting of some type if possible..

You could use a short piece of hard line with the barb on it, then use a Compression fitting on the hardline. Most fitting vendors make a compression fitting that is threaded with what ever size you need. (NPT or AN) ?

You can get a junk piece of the tubing with the barbon it from a yard or Doman markets short pieces with barbs on it. (most parts stores can get Doman products, ask to see the catalog).

My brother recommended attaching a compression fitting directly onto the fuel pump high pressure shaft. Then I could attach the other end to my fuel line that runs to the fuel rail with a threaded fitting. What do you think? I don't think I have enough pipe there. I'm thinking I might go to a junk yard and get the original lines and see if they will work. I have the 2004 fuel rail so why not?
