Default OBD2 port and tuning issues
Hi, I recently got all the bugs out of my 5.3 swap in a regal, so I decided to get it tuned and dynoed.

Well when he hooked the hp tuners up to the port nothing was picked up and I've used a scanner on it before and it worked.

So was seeing if you anybody could tell me what I wired wrong.

It has the 2 grounds on pin 5 and 6, one feed from the computer on pin 2, and the 12v battery on pin 15.

Any help is appreciated.

maybe you used the wrong serial data off the pcm. One is purple and thats the one you need to run to pin 2 the other is tan and is not needed.

I did check and it is a purple wire hooked up to pin 2. Could I have screwed up a ground?

Have you made sure your fuses are all good, I had the same problem only to find that my fuse was bad..

Isn't pin 16 supposed to be the battery power?

That is correct, pin 16 should be switched power. Computer feed should be from pin 58 on blue PCM Connector. Assuming this is not an E38 setup.

Pin 16 should be battery power, not ignition.
