v6-v8 NBS Silverado
v6-v8 NBS Silverado Ive seen a few 2000-2002 SCSB go for around 2 grand on craigslist in my area, all having v6 engines. I have an 01 Silverado 2500. Truck is complete, but Im trying to get into something lighter/faster. I have everything on my truck. How hard would it be to go about swapping the v6 to the v8 from my truck?
My truck is an 01 so has a cable driven throttle, so that shouldnt be an issue. Are there any frame differences in the 1500/2500 for the front end? They are both 2wd's also. Im just trying to get some ideas on where im heading for my next street/rod.
Ive also been thinking about an Fbody or an s10, but money is an issue right now. I have little to no welding skills so the swap headers are whats going to cost me the most unless i keep a fullsize truck. Thanks for you opinions.
