Lt1 fuel pump and 4.8 vortec Hello again,
I have the sending unit with pump from a 1996 car with the LT1 engine. Would the pump have enough pressure to run the 4.8 vortec engine? No modifications will be done to the engine.

The sending unit will work just fine. The pump depends. I have heard of some people having them work for thousands of miles, other people have had low pressure issues with that pump after only a couple weeks of driving.
That pump was designed to push 43psi of pressure and the LS engines use 60+ psi so it is working the pump harder. The pump will supply enough fuel but theres no way to tell how long it will last with the extra stress.

Thanks G-boy. I heard you can fit a silverado pump (from which my engine comes anyways) to that sending unit. I`ll check into that. Maybe I will give it a shot like this and see at least if the engine starts (eventually).

Yes it would, but right now I would rather not spend the money for a pump if there is a chance the one I have works. If it doesn't, i will relpace it either with a walboro or one preferably one from a truck if it really fits. I'd like to keep as many stock parts as possible.
