Wiring 99 ls1 computer for race car?
Wiring 99 ls1 computer for race car? I want to put the stock engine controller back on my race car. I have been deleating what i dont need, but ran into some question.
i need the computer to only control spark. Fuel is controlled by carb.
The car was run with a FAST system on Fuel injection before, now i want to go with the carb. Do i need to keep any of the Fuel, starter,or transmission wires. Car has a 400 in it now. Can i wire the starter without the computer. Is the computer looking for any singal back from something.
I know about the MSD 6ls box,but let me tell you they are JUNK!!!!!!! have had 2 different ones and they were 20 HP different on the dyno, and i can not get them to REv up over 7500rpm.
Will a autometer Tach read the signal for the computer?
Can I delete ALL of these wires
Knock sensors
Transmission wires- Range signal B and C
Fuel tank Presure/sender ground
Bank 2 o2 sensors
TCC brake switch
PNP swtich signal
Egr signal and ground(all 3 wires)
Cooling fan relay(fans are on sperate switch)
A/c presure
Trans Temp ground
Low oil switch
Skip shift/3-2 shift control
Tcc control
Air Relay control
Trans presure control high and low
Fuel pump relay control
Cruise control
Alternator wires(now has 1 wire alt)
Vehicle speed sensor
VTD fuel enable
MAF sensor wires(will run speed den)
Evap canister purge and vent control
Air pump control
MIL control
Trans shift A and B
Spark retard signal
Fuel level sensor
Trans range
Also do i need to hook up the TPS to the carb?
What about the IAC, do i need this?

All i need is for the computer to set the timing to 32 across the board. Can i do this with out the TPS? Nothing else will be controled by the computer.
Motor is on dyno now and need to figure this out ASAP, i only get the dyno till monday then i need to let the paying people have it back LOL.
