Fired it up couple days ago. Just doing finishing touches to put it back on the road.
Broke a Vband clamp, so had to get a new one before driving.
Going to schedule a tune at CMS for next week.
Also ordered a BER ported LS3 intake manifold.

Here is my new motor setup Dynoed with few pics of the car how it sits.
Stock LS3 Longblock with 24X reluctor swap
EPS 222/230 .596/.600 lift, 114 plus 1 LSA Cam
Unported LS3 Intake Manifold
LS3 injectors
PTM 92MM Cable Throttle
85MM Maf
4inch Intake
1 3/4 New Age Hotrods swap headers
Dual 2.5 inch custom exhaust with Dinan muffler with Magnaflow Cats
ASP Pulley
LS1 Wiring harness and ECM
T56 Transmission
Stock M3 LSD with swapped 3.91 gears
Pretty Happy with the numbers with basically a stock LS3 with small cam. It idles like stock.

Wow. I love it. The late 90s M3 swap has been a dream of mine for some time now. If you don't mind me asking, what should one budget after purchasing the car to do the swap right? Beautiful car man. This time next year I'll just buy it from ya and forget doing the swap! lol

Amazing build , were all of your swap parts purchased from new age hod rods?
I know nash sells alot of swap parts and a few other companies do aswell. Just wondering what fits best.
The throttle cable catches my eye, where did you purchase that from ?
Is there any chance you can pass emissions? Even if you put some cats on it and had it tested as a 6cyl
Also Does the car have a engine light of any kind ?
In CT if you have cats and no engine light your good to go.

Does anyone that has ever done this swap have a step by step on how to splice the GM pcm into the existing e36 wiring? Or how do you make everything in the car work? (Signals, wipers, lights, ignition, etc.)

There's plenty of LSx wiring information in the Engine Conversions section of BimmerForums.
This is a good thread to reference if you're considering an engine swap.
And this is one of several wiring threads worth reading.

There's no reason your signals, wipers and lights won't continue to work as they had previously, unless you hacked the chassis side of the harness.

Ok thanks. I was just curious, I've seen these wiring harnesses that they're selling for $800 that uses the stock bmw connector.

I am doing the same thing now with ls6 motor and as far as cost. its a lot. if done right. and then sorting the bmw chassis. it would cost less to buy a used c5z06. trust me I have owned both and my track bmw is quickly gaining on the cost of my old Z06.. but I don't feel bad about tracking the bmw. my z was just a little too new. and then your always like well while this is apart I should do this and this and this it keeps adding.
