4.8 fox body conversion
4.8 fox body conversion I have a 4.8 out of a 04 truck. Im going to keep it efi and I have a few questions. Can I buy a intake/harness and computer and ditch the DBW? I'm missing the pedal and tac. I'm wondering if it will be cheaper to go this route. What is everyone doing for a fuel system other than going a1000 ?

I'm sure you can find someone selling the TB.I think you will also need some tuning done also.I would just try and find a pedal and TAC. I went with a Walbro 255 pump for my setup. If your fox was a 6 or 4 you may have to step up the lines from the tank.
Whether it is cheaper depends. Are you planning on switching the intake manifold to a car? If so, you may be able to get a deal with the throttle body. From a wiring standpoint the harnesses cost about the same. I have new pedals and used TAC modules for $200/set if you need them. Harness is $499 (DBC) and $529 (DBW).
