LS Miata Guys I've been searching, and searching to answers for a few questions.
Why does everyone use a swap kit? Why can't the stock subframe be modified to work? Everyone is running 4 lug wheels, right? Seems like power steering is deleted with the swap?

Not everyone has used a kit. There are a few of us who built 'em before the LS kits were sold. You need to fab your own K-frame & diff. stability frame & strengthen rails @ the very minimum. 4 lugs are fine; especially now since wheel manufacturers have caught up w/ making a wider wheel w/ a 4x100 bolt pattern.

The kit just makes the swap easier for people who don't have the time or means to fabricate the subframe themselves. It takes a lot of the guess work out of the swap which to many people is well worth the cost.
Power steering and A/C are both an optional. I believe they have custom hoses and connectors to hook the LSx accessories to the Miata.
