im curious about the 8.8 rear. what axles did you use? this could be a good alternative for me in my 240...

Yea I researched the Nitrous and im not going to showcase it that way if i got pulled over i could avoid the felony, which is ridiculous. But still gotta finish up hooking it up, and im starting my roll cage this weekend.

The axles i ordered from v8roadster.com but basically they are ford 8.8 inner cvs that are splined to a shaft that runs into a miata outter cv, but they are 550hp rated as well

So it doesn't include the transmission?
meaning:
Stock drivetrain +40lbs = LS1
or
Stock drivetrain +40lbs = LS1/T56

Stock Miata 4 cyl + 40lbs = LS1
This ^

The T56 is 60lbs heavier than the Miata 5 speed

Yea that trans is heavy as cabbage, but the axles came in a kit, ordering custom axles alone that are cv's are a joke if your looking to have any power the bids all start at $1,000

I hope you were spinning so much you weren't going anywhere at all because something is definitely off here. You are incredibly light and not running any faster than a stock LS1 with headers.

I spun the whole 1-3 gears lol they dont prep the track on thursdays which is when i went, i was pretty upset, plus i only was allowed running 3 times then it was the honda race off! where everyone does 17 second quarters

so this is a total graveyard, but is this car still a thing? This thread is incredibly detailed and then he runs a solid 13.2 because the car weighs like 5 pounds and can't hook. IT CAN'T END THERE!

He needs to add some weight in the trunk for the track. Otherwise it's a good burnout machine--provided it isn't wheel hopping all over the place.
