Default 84 trans am Temp gauge?

Ive got an 84 t/a with an ls1/t56, all the gauges work except the temp gauge, i bought the car this way, anyone know what i need to do to get it working?

Use a 3 wire CTS from a 98 Fbody or modify a single wire sender to fit the plug on the pass cyl head

is the plug already threaded? and i just plug that into the wires going to my gauge?

Me personally I prefer the 3-wire..GM 12551708.

Wire the C-terminal to the Gauges, the other two stay in the same spot. The Connector will be the same as one that goes to the TPS.
