I just finished with the wiring on my swap and hooked up the battery for the first time. The seat belt light is on even without the key in the ignition and when I hit the brake pedal, the buzzer goes off.
Any ideas? I hooked the speedo, tach, and MIL wires from the swap harness directly to the back of the gauges.
I have a 95 K1500 work truck.

You may have a wire hooked up incorrectly that is providing voltage to those circuits. Or you could have a bad ground and the voltage is backfeeding through those circuits looking for ground. It's nearly impossible to diagnose a wiring concern though over the Internet. It's probably going to be up to you to pinpoint the actual spot of the problem.

I guessing bad ground/pinched wire. Pressing on the brake and something else happening has happened to me before and turned out to be a pinched wire(grounded out). Electrical issues runs me nuts because I just don't understand anything beyond the VERY basic crap. Let us know.
