Default Normal Alternator Voltage?

I've noticed since my swap (2006 5.3) the running voltage seems to sit right at 13.5v regardless how I drive, or what I do. The lowest has been 13.4v, the highest 13.6v. What gives is this normal?
FYI- I eliminated the battery module which was taped to the Bat Neg cable. I rearranged the pinouts at the ECM though(It's been a while..) This shouldn't cause this....?

I think this is the normal voltage output..

unplug the alternator and check it again.. should see 12 and falling

Shouldn't the voltage fluctuate between 14.5-13v ?

if you gauge is digital you may not see it because it happen to fast for that type of gauge to register it. On an antolog gauge it would show, that's why many tuners don't like digital gauge for the RPM's.

It's a digital gauge, which does fluctuate...between 13.4-13.6v that's it....shouldn't I see 14v once in a while?

I rarely see a large voltage fluctuation in my Thunderbird through HP Tuners or my multimeter. The only time I did see large changes was after some wires got cut in a wreck I had or with my old electric fan that was going bad.

On the opposite side, I do get a swing in my 02 TA, but everyone thinks the alternators are too small and the grounds suck on those cars anyway. I agree and will soon be upgrading.

If the Alt is triggered via the PCM I normally see votlages in the 13.5-13.6 range. If using a dash light, or resister it is usually higher around 13.8-14.0.
