throttle body/intake question
throttle body/intake question I have a 2006 L33 5.3 truck engine that currently has a DBW throttle body on it . I want to go with a DBC throttle body so I don't have to buy a pedal and TAC. I found a DBC throttle body off a 98 Camaro SS locally here and want to know if it will work on the truck intake.

If you use an early model ('04 and earlier, I think that is the year change) intake, it will work. Then you need to rewire the harness to accept IAC and TPS. Then reflash PCM to work with that. You may be able to use the f-body harness and PCM but then you need to program the PCM to accept the later crank and cam signals. Also need to take the connectors off the truck harness for the cam and crank sensors and put them on the f-body harness.
