Lsx in a 81 malibu
ok, ive done some research on lsx conversions in malibus. and i got a few questions about what to buy so ill give a quick rundown of what im planning to do.
the car is gonna be carbed, 383 ls1 with no ac and 350 turbo trans. what crossmember, flywheel, converter do i need? with running a 6010 kit, what sensors do i need, and is there anything i need from the original harness besides the coils? (the reason asked is that the only thing i have is the long block.)
now what accessories (alternator, bracket and power steering pump and bracket) is the easiest to run on these cars? i have searched on two or three different forums and would like more pictures and opinions.
this car is gonna be driven some on the street. but just mostly to the track and ran.

I think the only thing you gotta worry about accessory wise is power steering getting close to steering shaft. But that's with truck accessories. Otherwise I think theirs tons of room for the swap.

Those are the crankshaft spacer and bolts you'll need to bolt up the th350 but I'm not sure if the ls1's flexplate would work. I know you can use the 5.3 flexplate though with no problems. Just gotta widen the converter holes a little
