Default Initial start up?

I have a crate LS3 and am almost ready to start her up. What the best way to start? Is there a way to pre-lube?

There was an article in Hot Rod a few months ago that explaned how to make an LS prelube tool out of an old small block oil pump and a 5 gallon bucket and some -AN lines.

Disconnected the fuel pump, cranked it until it got oil pressure, then fired it up. Worked for me.
