Hello,

I need an adapter to change from 4" OD to 3.5" OD. I see them on ebay with and without the three ply inside the silicone. Do I need the three ply in there? I am setting up an LS1 with a K&N intake. I had to shorten the K&N tube and the filter will hang in the air. I am worried that the one without the reinforcing ply may break after time.

Anyone have experience with this?
