Default rough idle

i finally got my car running but i ran in to another problem. when i start the motor it runs really high RPMs. Then it will idle down and run rough there will be little to no throttle response. I thought it might be the MAP sensor. Has anyone had this problem?http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/sr...r_banghead.gif

It's a little hard without the pertinent info.. like what engine and harness? is it DBW? is it a new motor? crate motor? pull out?

I would start looking at your DBW parts, I had a similar problem, but what mine would do is start up and idle high for a second, then idle really low and odd. and had zero throttle response.

Mine ended up being the TAC module. I used my Escalade to swap parts to narrow it down. The first thing i tried was the TAC.
