How much A/C compressor oil with different type compressor

How much A/C compressor oil with different type compressor Hello,
On a 1995 Chev Caprice with H6 compressor, the total system PAG amount is speced at 8 oz
My swap will be using a Delphi CVC 185 compressor same as 2007 corvette which has a total oil amount of 5 oz
I have no way of knowing how much of the difference is due to compressor or system differences.
My question is how do I determine the amount of oil to use? ( somewhere between 5 and 8 )
The CVC185 is preloaded with 5 oz.
I am temped to throw another ounce at it but hope someone has more accurate answer about the difference in actual compressor requirements.

Sorry , thought that as a given as I was speaking in system totals.
Every part is new or cleaned- flush- dried on the bench.
At this point I have gone to just over 6 oz and put in just shy of 2 pounds (factory Caprice spec) of 134.
Will see what the high -low numbers are when I get to the point of starting it. Thanks again for the input.
