New member a/c relocate question I'm a new member that is beginning a 5.3 (2005 silverado)/ 4l60e swap into an 88 monte. I've done a lot of reading in the forum's and boy what a big help!!! Thanks to all that have put up information. I will add to it as I progress:
Question: I want to relocate the a/c compressor (bottom to top mount) and want to buy a kit. I want to use the Denso compressor that came with the motor. I see a lot of info for the sanden compressor but not the Denso. Does a kit exist? Does e-one suggest I not use the Denso and buy a sanden? If a kit exists, where can I get it?

Contact kwik performance, I just bought a kit it's 199, u should definately switch to a sanden 508 compressor, anything compresser "508 style" will work sanden brand is more expensive. The sell a copycat on in eBay
There was a kit for f body spacing, but not for truck accessory spacing.
Check with Twin Turbo, he might have found something.

Brett Foote Check out Alan Grove Components. They have low-mount A/C bracket systems for F-body and truck belt spacing. I think they use Sanden 508 compressors though - not a stock compressor, but they seem to have a good reputation.
You do not want to use the stock compressor it is a different type of compressor that will lunch itself if used on an older system the two are not really compatiable. The sanden is your best bet.
