Default New 5.5 liter LS engine

Anyone out there have any info on the 5.5 liter engine coming out in the '13 Vette c7? I've read the unit will be naturally aspirated and will produce 485HP.
This was originally thought to be a factory turbo unit in a mid engine car, but GM skimped out, so I've been told. Let's hear it guys.

Haven't heard much more than that myself. The mid engine turbo has been scrapped, just another evolution of what we already have, which isn't a bad thing at all.

Last I read they are still thinking a turbo v6 is in the cards and still a 427ci engine for the Z06.

You guys definitely need to do some searching.
There was never a V6, turbo, or mid engine setup in the cards, that was all fan base rumors/hearsay. This comes up every new model year of the Corvette.
As for the 5.5L rumor, thats the race only engine GM is using because of rule limitations. The C7 will have a 6.2L OHV V8, expect around 450hp.

Hmmmm. Interesting. I have been searching. A lot. The information I read was found in car craft, and super Chevy magazines. Boy are they gonna be embarrassed if you are right. What sanctioning body requires 5.5 liters? I haved owned a couple different c5's, so I'm always interested in what's next. When you purchase a new Vette, you get polled by GM for information regarding what you want in a Vette. They really do care about the Vette program.
