LY6/6L90E Questions..HELP!
LY6/6L90E Questions..HELP! I just found a low milage LY6/6L90 for a great price with low milage. Has anyone done this swap? What problems were encountered? Would this be a good alternative to my LQ4/4L80 swap? How much trouble is the 6L90. Any help you guys can give would be awesome!

Subscribe and bump. I have an LY6 and currently deciding which trans to go with. 6L90 seems a good option. Only issues I’ve heard of would be fitment due to the size of the trans. Most likely need some trans tunnel work depending upon you application.
Yeah it is gonna need some cutting. So far I have designs for my own custom engine mounts , oil pan, and tranny pan. Between autocad the CNC machines and TIG I am more than confident. I am gonna do all of them in stainless and see how it goes. That way I get to do all of my own fitments. Depending on how everything turns out and fits I plan on selling a few. The only thing I am having trouble with soo far is finding detailed info on how to do the wiring harness conversion to a 4 wire setup. ANyone out there have any info?
