Default trany question

I'm looking into doing a 5.3 or 4.8 swap in a 91 s10 blazer I would like to keep it a 5 speed sence I don't have the money for a t56 my question is can you use the 5 speed out of the blazer or not and if you can how to make it work do I need a kit of some kind or will it bolt rite up like an old school 350

You didn't say weather or not your s10 has a 4.3 in it. If it does, the trans will bolt up with the correct Flywheel/clutch parts and there is an input shaft adapter to make it longer that I read gets used when you put an older 4speed behind an LS. I would think that part is used like on an older trans. If you have a 4cyl I wouldn't use the trans. Not sure if it is different, but the bell housing is different and it won't bolt to the LS.

It's a T5 trans. Do a search here for that.
