Hell bent on getting the truck intake to work today. Even if it means sacrificing the wipers until I come up with a better intake.

Absolutely there is. There are other platforms out there besides a bowtie.

Oh man I love that video. The problem with AMC stuff is that its all so expensive because no one wants to produce parts anymore. Its hard to find an off the shelf set of forged slugs for those things. When you find them they are pricey. I made 230/280 with my basically stock rebuild 360. I reused everything I could because I couldn't afford to build a motor. Pistons and rods were cleaned up and reused. I bought a crank from a parts store because it was cheaper to buy a crank kit then it was to have mine machined.

Just a dying bread. I love everything about AMC's but its not easy to do anymore.

PS- Shifter is in...

yea its def neat cause its different. you should see the hoops we had to go through trying to get aerospace brakes for the front of the amx lol. it was rediculous. oh the the pacer got the stockers off the amx haha. recycled!

Even finding aftermarket replacement parts is a chore for AMC's. No body knows what they are and the cars are a mix mash off all the big brands.

I'm glad you responded. You would absolutely know. They ARE worse than the big 3.

Pretty much it for today. Picked up some material to use as a spacer for the trans mount. Will finish that off tomorrow. Need to weld the one truck manifold up and install them before I start working on the turbo kit. Im not sure where Im going to have room for an intercooler. I was thinking about running a small aluminum rad like a civic radiator. Has anyone used this small of a radiator before on one of these?

Thanks for looking guys!

Two 12 point socket trans mount spacer. Tool steel and lifetime warranty!

I think I know the answer to this question already but Im going to ask it anyways. Im struggling to come up with a creative way to fit an intercooler and piping in this thing without swiss cheesing the car to death. Here goes, has anyone ever ran a civic half radiator in one of these cars? A half rad would be nice to fit an IC with same side end tanks.

Thoughts...be gentle.

Didnt like the shifter placement so I moved it and had to cover the factory auto on the floor opening.

Hoping the rest of my exhaust parts come early this week. I want to get the hot side done by weeks end. I ordered an aluminum radiator from a late 60's mustang. It will give me room to sneak IC pipes back to the turbo and TB.
