Unhappy PCM programming

Anyone have any issues with Brendan Patten from LS1Swap? I'd seen good reviews here on different posts so I sent him two PCM's week before last. I know he got the units because of the return confirmation I got but he doesn't respond to emails. Anyone else have issues with him?
Hope I didn't get scammed by him-hard to trust anyone anymore.

I had a quick turnaround, and he responded reasonably quickly when I had a small issue(my fault, not his...).That was a couple of months ago, perhaps he is on vacation or something?

I've been working with him on sort of a custom setup for a while. Dont sweat the emails. A lot of mine got answered in the middle of the nite. Thinking he's got a lot going on. You'll get yours back.

I sure hope you people are right but no response to numerous emails makes one wonder. If I did business like that I wouldn't be in business long.....

Honestly, this is still kind of a custom niche market. You can spend 2 or 3 times as much with more establishe company. But that still doesn't buy much. I had my first harness done by a very reputable vendor. It came back with thr DBW throttle connector and coolant temp sensor connector cut off. They took care of it, but this isn't repopping 40 year old parts, which has a worse reputation.

I can understand honest mistakes being made and fortunately for you it was made good. But not responding is a whole different matter. I guess he knows he has me by the 'short hairs' as what recourse do I have. I sent two PCM's, one to be programmed the other as payment for the work as he agreed. It's not like I can go to PayPal and file a claim. Guess it's buyer beware when you deal with an unknown.
BTW, would anyone have a phone number I might get him at ?
Thanks

He probably does this on the side. So, when you get real busy with life etc... the side job goes away. And, with this kind of business, you get 100 questions for every paying customer....lots of them from people too lazy to do their own research....so sometimes you just don't want to look at your email.

just saying, not defending.

And what does it say of you sending off two PCM's with no collateral?

Here's hoping he sees this thread and sends back your PCM's unmodified with a note saying "thanks but no thanks"

Red face

Got a reply from Brendan today saying he has been tied up but should ship the PCU by the weekend. I guess my faith is restored in humanity.
You who offered that he would come through were right-guess I am a little gun shy after recently being ripped off @ the big auction site. Thanks for the replies.

Sorry about the auction troubles. If there were an issue with anyone the guys around here would flame him to death and you would know about it . I had mine done by Brendan a month ago and took a lil bit longer than expected but hes half price of everyone elses basic/standalone tune .

You get your pcm's yet? I have used him a few years ago with quick turnaround and no issues. Love the service and feedback.

I sent two emails this week in regards to swapping that PCM for programming service on another and havn't heard back. I decide to try and sell my 1st PCM outright and just pay for his service for the other one instead.

But wanted to make sure everything was on the up and up before I use the paypal checkout and send my PCM out.

Thanks

well crap, there goes using him for programming....I really liked his work and turnaround time when I had it done a few years ago...Does he frequent this board?

Can anyone suggest someone else I can use to tune my12586243 PCM? I don't mind spending a little more money...but I don't want to shell out $200 or more for a PCM tune...

No PCM yet

I have sent two emails since and haven't gotten a reply back on the status, I sent a third a few minutes ago.
