Best LS1 Camaro year??
I have finally decided to swap to a LS1 into my 1997 Camaro instead of building up my LT1. The power posibilities are too good to pass up. I just love my 30th anniversary look to just get a newer Camaro. So question is.. Are there any differences between the 1998-2002 Z28s? I,m just doing to buy one of those and drive that while i gut the 97. Then I will have everything I need for the swap. Thanks guys.

Sell your car for a few thousand and simply buy an LS1 style FBody. After the time/$ you will be waaaay head.
Early LS1 engines had oil control issues. Avoid the '98 as very few of its parts/electrical are interchangeable with the '99+ stuff. '01-02 are the best years due to the LS6 intake and slightly better factory casting head.
When you can pick up a nice Fbody for around $8K why would you build one?
You want the 30th anniversary look? Swap the front clip.

I didn't really think of the front clip swap..... Good idea. I'll just have to search for a white Z now. Thanks for the idea. Love your RX7 LS1 swap btw. love that kinda stuff. If I had the time/actually being at home instead of away for work I would love to do something like that! keep up the awesome work!
Thanks again
