Default Another accessory drive question
I have an LQ9 in my wrangler and I'm in the process of installing an F body water pump with Dirty Dingo spacers to clear some room for my upper hose. I am also planning to eventually change to a car style intake.

Is it my imagination or does the truck water pump and the car wp spin in opposite directions? My truck belt is wrapped around the top of the pulley on the water pump and the car belt goes around the bottom. This leads me to believe they spin in opposite directions? My shrink would say yes but am I crazy?

They both spin the same way. The back of the belt can only drive one direction.

Ha ha I'm an idiot! U just made it make sense in my head. For the longest time I couldn't get it straight and u made me go out and stare at it and now I got it! Thanks!

One way to remember, if you have the flat side of the belt against the pulley, it will turn in the right direction.
