Ground wires
Finishing up my stand alone harness from an 07 5.3 with 4L65E..I left the factory ground wires in their factory locations on the engine. I am thinking I will connect all the grounds to a bus bar and connect the bus bar to the battery ground post. See any problems with this set up?

I am using one like this

But - You still need the block and frame grounded (heavy gauge) and a loop to your terminal block to the frame. You can never have enough grounds!

Yes, you would not want some high powered motor (fan, wiper, ect) to use your small ECM grounds as their ground path. They could overpower the small wires and burn.

I have all the grounds from my harness tied together in the harness and hooked the top back of the block. My fan is grounded to the battery and the ground cable goes from the battery to the block. My battery is then grounded to the body and the engine is solid mounted to the frame. Plenty of grounds.
