If you use a stock 4th Gen F-Body.. it will fit.. but it will be a tight fit to drop the engine in. You will have about 1/4"-3/8" between the pan and crossmember and about 1/4"-3/8" between the passenger Head and the Firewall. I pretty much had to pry the engine in and out with the F-Body pan.

I dropped it in but didn't like the tight clearance and ended up pulling it out and using a CTS-V pan.

Default Oil pan clearnace.

I used the GM Muscle car pan. It hangs 1.5" below the crossmember so ground clearance is terrible. I lost 3/4 turn in steering from lock to lock, I welded the steering stops so as not to hit the pan. I also cut the chunk of unneccesary aluminum off the oil pan and installed plugs in the grease fittings(after greasing them) to improve steering. If you have an F-body oil pan send it to Street and Performance for one of their modified pans. I have one but yet to install it. It has all the benefits everyone states and much better crossmember clearance. A little pricey though.

Yes. I had to shim mine .030" to keep the belt from coming off the crank pulley. They didn't machine the cutout for the PS pump deep enough into the plate.

I'm running the autokraft pan but with the s&p style plates and I have 1/4" tie rod clearance on both sides. Depending on which 1" setback plates you use you should end up with the same clearance or more as some raise the motor about 1/2" also.

I have a generic 3/8" thick, 1" setback, solid plate. I am not sure how that compares to some of the other "name brands".

I checked my clearance yesterday I have carshop 1" setback plates I also have about 1/4" on each side of f-body pan to tie rod. If that helps. Do you have tall mounts or shorter mounts? Also is the motor at -3 I now when I raised the transmission to remove trans mount it did hit.
