You can make this type of male fitting on the end of a piece of tubing, or you can go to your local auto parts store, and they will sell you a piece of line with the proper end already on it. If you know somebody who has one of the Mastercool hydraulic flaring tools, it will make these fittings. I make them all the time.
If you need the female fittings, avoid the ones with the plastic release clips. Russell now makes a fitting that uses a screw-in retainer to keep the fitting on the tube. I have had 2 of the plastic retainer clip fittings come loose in use, and would not recommend them to my worst enemy! I went back and pulled all the plastic clip fittings that I have put on cars in the last several years, and replaced them with the new style fittings.
