I'm thinking about getting one of those metal radiator hoses to run from the 5.3 waterpump to the 4.3 radiator, but I would have to relocate my steam pipe tap....could I just tee it into the 5/8" line that runs to the heater core? That seems like an easy way to do it, but I want to make sure there wouldn't be any problems with doing so. Thanks!

The factory ran the steam vent to the heater return line (to the water pump)on the Trailblazer SS, so its probably OK. I like to vent to a higher point and use a surge tank with a vent line conection (like most late model factory setups).

Late model GM cars many times don't have a valve in the supply and return to the heater core. They are a constant flow. If you tap your steam line into the water pump return from the heater core and you are using a valve in your heater core you might get flow issues. It doesn't have to flow much though.
