the clearance for the oil tube gauge, it's an modded oil pan. I tried to put the tube in place but it bottoms out on what I think is the windage tray. I don't want to put the motor and start over again, maybe I can just loosen the oil pan just enough to bend it down.

 

I went under the car, removed the starter to have room to work. I put a stray in the oil tube hole and it went all the way to the bottom. I can feel with the straw that the windage tray is not lined up perfect with the tube hole. so I cut 1/2 inch off the tube in order to seat it, the dip stick goes all the way down.
