Power steering relocation to passenger side?
Power steering relocation to passenger side? Has anyone done this with the factory or with another power steering pump? I am seeing if it is possible to relocate the power steering unit over to where the factory a/c condenser would normally go.

Do you mean factory AC compressor? Possible: yes. Practical: depends. If you are asking if someone sells a bracket, I highly doubt so. But "could" it be done? Yes, why not.
What is this going into?
Have you thought about electric power steering as an option? Moving the pump to the opposite side will likely require fabricating your own accessory drive.

Oops, you're right, I meant compressor.
This is going into a Porsche, so there's not a lot of room up top to run it in the stock location.
I have considered an electric power steering unit, but I figured if there was a possible relocation kit that put it where it'd work, then I'd rather do that than have to run an electric unit.

No kit that I know of, but wouldn't think it would be too hard to make your own, if your into that kind of stuff. I'd start with a new style remote reservoir pump, they're very compact and would fit there no problem. The same type of 4 rib belt should be fine, with the 180 degree plus wrap on the 2 pulleys.
