what gauge wire

What gauge wire do I need from my psi relay to factory avalanche fuel pump? Factory looks to be about 18ga is this big enough?

18 is what comes factory. However, I always include 10ft of 14ga wire with my harnesses. This helps prevent any voltage drop. If it were me I would use something like 14ga or so, I think 18 is a little small. Thats just my opinion, on paper 18 is fine.

Bigger is always better. On a 12 ft run i gained almost .3 volt on my reading by goin from 18g to 14 g wire. That equals less heat on pump
